Retraction & Correction Policy

Zona Law and Public Administration Indonesia is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scholarly record.

When significant errors, misconduct, or other problems are identified after publication, the journal may issue a Correction, Retraction, or Expression of Concern, depending on the nature and severity of the issue.

Correction

A correction may be published when an article contains an error that affects part of the publication but does not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions.

Corrections may address significant errors involving:

• Author information;

• Data presentation;

• Tables or figures;

• References;

• Methodological descriptions;

• Statistical information; or

• Other substantive information.

Minor typographical errors that do not affect the interpretation or scientific integrity of an article may not require a formal correction.

Retraction

An article may be considered for retraction when there is reliable evidence of:

• Fabrication or falsification of data;

• Plagiarism;

• Duplicate or redundant publication;

• Serious methodological or analytical errors that invalidate the findings;

• Unauthorized use of copyrighted material;

• Unethical research practices;

• Manipulation of the peer-review process;

• Serious authorship violations; or

• Other forms of significant research or publication misconduct.

A retracted article will remain part of the scholarly record where appropriate, but it will be clearly identified as RETRACTED, together with a retraction notice explaining the reason for the editorial action.

Expression of Concern

The Editor may issue an Expression of Concern when serious questions have been raised regarding a published article but sufficient evidence is not yet available to determine whether correction or retraction is necessary.

An Expression of Concern may remain in place while an investigation is being conducted.

Retraction and Correction Procedure

When a potential problem is identified, the Editorial Team will conduct an appropriate investigation. Authors will normally be given an opportunity to respond to the concerns raised.

Where necessary, the journal may consult reviewers, editorial board members, institutions, publishers, or other relevant parties.

The final decision regarding correction, retraction, or an expression of concern rests with the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board, based on available evidence and recognized principles of publication ethics.

The journal seeks to ensure that all post-publication actions are transparent, proportionate, and designed to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
